$26/hour? No thanks.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
that’s average rates in the Gta i’ve been looking for months for a better local gig where you can still have a life outside of work and even companies like molson or Labatts only advertise around that pay .Another Canadian driver and Canadianhauler21 Thank this. -
In the gta the Hourly rates are $20-25 max for dry van work. $26 an hour is just above average honestly.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

How do you local GTA guys even afford to live on that. I live in rural AB, work local, and am making $50 an hour, and then $60 once winter hits.

When they put 5 families in one house it isn't so hard to afford the $3.7 million price tag. Standing room only.JayTee, Another Canadian driver, Canadianhauler21 and 3 others Thank this.

I got lucky only paid $229k for my house back in 2008 up here in orangeville but my new neighbours paid like $800k a year ago . if i had to buy a house now it wouldn’t happen . My sister is paying $1700-$1800 a month for a small 1 bedroom condo in Mississauga higher than my mortgage. I’M making it at $25.12 a hr and with a pick up truck payment of $740 a month . Iam always looking for something better just not willing to deal with a bunch of extra bs at a new company for that extra $$$ . which is why i always try to research a company and read employee reviews. If you start reading the same things it’s usually a good indication the company has problems. Besides the money i have it pretty good here at KriskaLast edited: Sep 18, 2023

You're right another reason why I moved out of the GTA to the western part of Ontario. Technically it's not much cheaper however a house the same size as mine would cost me $2.5 Million anywhere near Halton, Peel, Toronto and even Durham region and I bought it for 60% less now things are starting to become closer in prices. It's ridiculous. However, I knew that I would become an O/o eventually because I couldn't take the micromanage at a company I was at and cashed out. With this unpredictable recession things only got more difficult. For anyone though I believe in having financial safety nets put in place. Larger Carriers like Titanium will nickle & dime those who are not consistently watching the money so as a driver you need to beware. In Canada I believe ask a thousand questions when go with any company including whether or not they have a fuel Surcharge with their direct customers. If they only operate a majority off a loadboard, run.Another Canadian driver and Canadianhauler21 Thank this.

Where the hell are you making that? I'll leave the GTA in a second if that's how much truckers make up there.
Also the answer to your question is drive inc and 100 hours a week, and also @gokiddogo is pretty spot on but more like $1.5M houses with 2-3 families in them.Another Canadian driver and BigHossVolvo Thank this. -
I’m pretty sure he’s living in Alberta hauling logs , he mentioned it in another thread and says he makes like $500 a day . You would have to move out of province and who’s knows what other high paying jobs are out that way if you were to lose that $50 a hr gigAnother Canadian driver and Canadianhauler21 Thank this.
