Why? What is everyone's obsession with MB?
Upon quick research it just looks like another mega, micromanaging company with low pay?Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Thats the description i got from a fellow who had just quit there few years back..just poorly managed.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

The pay is good and the work is easy. I’ve been there 15 years.Another Canadian driver, Albertaflatbed, REO6205 and 1 other person Thank this.

Well every truck driving job is easy work, so that's irrelevant. $30 or so an hour imo is trash lol. But if you're happy to settle I guess good for you.
Another Canadian driver, Magoo1968 and Canadianhauler21 Thank this. -
All in I make about $56 an hour.Another Canadian driver and Peplow Thank this.

That's the thing, Sudbury isn't that saturated with you know who type of people. I feel terrible for those working at the mega fleets working local, I remember when I was at challenger 5 years ago local pay was $19 an hour out of the dixie yard. Don't know what it is now.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Sudbury is starting to get a lot of those you know who types moving in . I went there a few years back and saw alot of them especially working the fast food chains . I hear north bay is bad with them now also
A lot of the mega fleets are in the $24-26 a hr range now like most of the trucking companies around the Gta . I’m about $25 a hr but having weekends off and a care free working environment is more important to me vs making a few dollars more . Most of the night is just driving around picking up empties and sure i get bored but i’ve gotten use to itLast edited: Sep 28, 2023
BigHossVolvo, Another Canadian driver, '88K100 and 2 others Thank this. -
MB is union starts off at like $28-29 a hr up to like $36-37 a hr plus ot after like 8 hrs and other perks being a union job . Now the Negatives from what i’ve found is no weekends off for years and years if ever at all . on call , could be working either days or nights and being a new guy be prepared to work like 6 or 7 days a week for at least your first 90 days . Still a good gig especially around the gta with our crappy rates . If you can deal with all that i mentioned . Myself after getting weekends off after having to work weekends I don’t know if i could ever go back to working weekends . I love driving my side by side around , fishing and playing golf with my friends and most people are off on weekendsLast edited: Sep 28, 2023

I have not worked a week end in 30 years,,,add in those 10 paid sick days all us federally regulated drivers qualify for and the 3 paid personal days plus holidays.. I work 180 days annually.
There is more to life than making a living…Another Canadian driver and Albertaflatbed Thank this.
