I do everything in my power to avoid trucks in California. We have one very good customer that gives us 100% of their business. They are about the only customer that can get me to run out there unless there is some SERIOUS money involved. We usually stay in the Eastern half of the country.

You just have to love that when the state cop looks you in the eye and says why are you on this route? Love it when I get to say because your dumb ### state sent me here so go talk to your permit office not me. Happened to me three times in PA.

Pennsylvania often tries to send us through downtown Harrisburg on city streets instead of sticking to the interstates. Everytime we get this route we call the state and ask why. No one is ever able to explain why, except they have a flaw in their system. Total BS.

I got told twice in PA by their permitting department that I just wasn't a good enough driver if I could nt get my stretch traier around a corner. 16 wide road turning onto another 16 wide road with buildings built within 2 foot of the corner I had 3 feet on either side of my load and my trailer was 60 foot long with six feet out the back it just didn't fit. Told the permit officer that if he wanted to come try and get it around the corner I would wait until he got there. After he cussed at me some more I got ahold of his boss who told me the same #### and cussed about us stupid westerners coming out there. After that I was mad and spent two days talking to ybs governors office and got my route changed and also I get along with the PA routing department pretty good now because both those guys lost their job.

What's bad in Pa. is they got district to district on super weight lds. or they used to. I try and stay out of there latley.
Any how one district might reject your permit app. due to a weak bridge or such.
Then you have to find another way and apply again.
Alot of it got updated to do an onlne pre- approvial now, so it does cut down some hassles.

Then on super lds. you have to get weighed and then an insp.If you have an air line laying on any metal. Fail.
The company did a job several years back.
Same trks. got insp. like every other day and was allways failing for chicken things. Zipp tie an air line up and good to go even though 2 days before it was not an issue. Go figure. The one repair shop made a small fortune off of us. Kinda gets you to thinking..

Gotta live their road numbering system. I can look at it online and just about figure it out. No way a driver on the road with an atlas can make heads or tails of it when they start routing you through downtown with 25 different routes listed.

Yea their road numbering system leaves a lot to be desired. I hate PA but ever since they found gas there vie made #### good money hauling oilfield stuff out there and since I quit driving I don't have to deal with anything but the phone calls from my hands now.

Sometimes dealing with the hands on the phone can be just as bad as the DOT.
