So you earn about $19/hr (on average) plus insurance. Is that a good wage in your area? It does seem to support what Chibob said, "I used to make $21hr hauling dust. I've been hearing that frac sand doesn't pay very well anymore."

I haul water. Our company starts at $19 an hour. It's easy work. Average 25-30 miles per load.
I work 4 days on, then take 2 days off. I go home to my family every day.
Hauling crude pays about the same around here, if you can get on with an oufit that pays by the hour instead of a percentage of the load. If you're going to haul crude, drive for the oil company, do not drive for a contractor or third-party carrier.diamondz, superpet39, Chibob and 2 others Thank this. -

Check sunoco logistics I'm pretty sure they are hiring there and even though they are commission pay you can make good money if you work hard ie 6th day & pick up extra loads..
