What are some good free load boards if any that are out there??? Also what are some decent ones, that of course you have to pay for?

there isn't really any free ones except like U-ship and if you ind anything there worth shipping you should start playing the lottery. I know Land star has a board the public can view but they don't have any rates on it.

There isnt any decent load boards :biggrin_25523: Pretty much all the ones u have to pay for, getl oaded, or internet truckstop are pretty much the top 2. I use the truckstop one, guess i like it better, but i try to stay away from it as much as possible. If your looking at one load on get loaded its propably posted on all the others as well.

Yeah I use get loaded. The company I work for is a broker/carrier I noticed if I call about a load that's posted on get loaded that same minute they will tell me its already been covered. Its because its re posted on every other load board also. Also is a load board that's direct from the shippers. But its only helpful if you're in a place like Texas or California. Otherwise if you're stuck the NE your best bet is through a broker.

How do these load boards work? Do they take a percentage of the $$ for acting as a broker?

the load board isn't a broker. the brokers pay the boards to be able to post loads. then you go to the broker to book them.

generally the loads on the boards are the junk the brokers couldn't get covered elsewhere. Also some of those loads are double or triple brokered

Meaning they have already changed hands a number of times and offer less profit?

    pretty much -

load boards were always my last resort... - but if you get a chance try and touch base with anyone offering a decent haul...

build relationships as a professional - and the loads will come and find you..

(that is how I signed an open 3 years contract with orion bros. and dole reefer).

cut out the middle man and deal with the signer directly (incresed my profit margin by about 8 percent.)

Sometimes you can find a decent load on a load board because you talk to some retard that has no clue what hes doing, broker, and you get good money out of them. But dont hold your breath.

You will not survive with a truck, trailer payment, house mortgage, family.... Hell i cant even do that with no wife and kids, hauling off of load boards.

And all im paying on is the truck!
