Well, that all depends. I'd beg to differ if it happened while pulling a 14', 100,000lb tracked machine on an RGN.![]()

I will throw in my .02 since I had this happen to me a few days ago. My steers were at about 50% tire pressure was right at 100 psi. Going down 90 in SD at 80MPH bang. If a car had been next to me I would have been on top of it. Once I figured out what it within milliseconds haha was I was able to used the floor it method to get the truck straight than lifted my foot after I was back under control. Took me about 700 yards to come to a stop. It busted the lights out, inner mudflap, knocked valve off air tank, broke turn signal and broke the hood in several places. Just hold on tight and stay off the breaks is about all you can do.

I looked out the drivers side window and saw my steer tire rolling down the highway. I was in a 2007 Pete 379 exhd. If I would not have seen the tire rolling it would have taken me a bit to know I had a flat. No pull nothing. Just slowed down and pulled over.

I don't know about how it is in a new truck but I can tell you in a 1972 Brockway with air assist steering I was 6 rows into a bean field before the bang was done !!!
It didn't yank the steering wheel out of my hands but it did what it wanted with them on the wheel the whole time .
Of course being young and full of urine and vinegar I just kicked into reverse and backed out of the field and limped it to a wide spot . Got my tools out and pulled a drive tire off put it on the steer and put the blown one on the drive and went to a tire shop and got a new steer tire . Like I said I was young and full of energy LOL ! -
I little from column A, a little from column B. Tire got a hole in the tread and was losing air. Started off pulling to the left, but thought it was mostly from the winds that day. Then I could hear and feel the vibration. I was already pulling off the road to the right when it let go, but then it really started pulling the left again. Got off the road to inspect the damage.
The tread wrapped around the inside axle, but somehow didn't damage the brake lines or ABS wiring.

Had a new steer blow on me last week. A 315 80r22.5 Firestone 820 with literally 4200 km on it. I was loaded and in a good corner on a narrow road when it happened. Scared the #### out of me. Took everything I had to keep it in the corner. The impact of the bang was so strong that the front rhs cab mount on the freightshaker went through the floor of the cab and tore off every AC cooling line. First one of my life that was that bad. Was definitely and eye opener. If they blow at the wrong time hold the #### on
