I've seen many threads on here and wondering you just bolt a 6nz ECM on a stock bxs it on and run it? No cel?
I also saw you need to put a regulator on your boost to keep it from derate. Or do you need to delete vva and change cam gears and all that crap?
So if this is true someone fill me in I have a bxs in a kw it's 475 so not a ton of power and a used 6nz ECM takeoff from a wreaked truck set at 550 hp and has 6999 in the injector trim files. What all needs changed?
thanks,
corey
What's it take to install 6nz on a bxs

Cam sensor location is same on bxs. You will need to put a regulator on boost sensor or it will derate. I personally I would remove actuators. Swap ecm and enjoy. Easiest of the acerts to swap. You can run a single turbo if you prefer but they run pretty sweet as twins. I would change injectors for a set of 57's or 58's. Everybody will have a different opinion on it, but no matter what you do you will be glad. I have done a bxs 2 mxs and last and certainly not least SDP. You can easily sell all your parts and get your money back.

6999 is pretty hot, I found the 550 brakesaver file or 7cz with 5232 does a fine job.

The truck the ECM came off had a brake saver on it so win win!
also I had a bxs derate for 3&4 vva I was doing some wondering when the fuel cuts out is arround 20-25lbs of boost it's a 475 so not much power at all. What if I put the regulator on the boost sensor until I have time to fix the actuator issue? Would it bypass the fuel cut out or is it using other parameters? -
No you can't run regulator to make it not derate. The boost would need to be read higher in order to supply more fuel giving you more horsepower. 3&4 down May want to pull valve cover and make sure you don't have broken housing or bolts. I have seen bolt and rockers go thru valve cover and a spacer made it to crank and out driver side of motor. Just be on the safe side.
