One thing no one has mentioned is Rain-X, Rain-X, and Rain-X. I may be spoiled now, but I don't know how anyone drives without it. It drives me nuts every time it starts to wear off because I forgot to re-apply. I'll rip my wiper blades off never to be seen again long before I'll drive without Rain-X again.

For those that haven't used Rain-X, try it. The "original formula" not the cleaner or additive. You'll see much, much better without ever even turning the wipers on.

And yes, they should be paying me, as many friends and family members I've turned on to it.

I can't stand rain-x because it simply smears the rain when you aren't driving fast enough for wind to clear your windshield.

    To each their own.

I've never had that problem. Fast, slow, or stopped, the water beads up the same, even if it doesn't run off as fast.

The only time I ever see the water not beading up is when the Rain-X wears off, then it drives me nuts to not be able to see as well. And it doesn't work to try to apply it in the rain, it needs to be applied to dry glass.

Dont forget snow chains for chain laws

A good long tow strap. When you wake up in a snow cover parking lot and can move because loss of traction or bRAKES frozen or stuck in fuel island ice.

Snow blade pole to clean snow off windshield or to remove ice that froms on windshield.

Air blower for passager seat only hook up. Best cleaning for all weather.

2 pairs of shoe and rain coat.

Somethang for small colds. Be carefull some stuff we cant take(dot drug test)

windshield curtains big inprovement on space.

    Keep the passager door locked.

Tire pressure gauge. Save your tires.mpg

    you'll see.

I seemed to have managed just fine for the past 22yrs....it's a miracle!:biggrin_25525:
CB is a MUST have, so just get one. Cant rely on your 6'7" size for everything these days ....Road work closing the interstate, shippers/receivers wanting to call you on one, problem with the truck that you cant see, and so on. Granted there are a lot of idiots on them anymore, but it is a required item in my experience.
I will try one or two times to shout at someone who has an issue, then give up. So if a cop see's that problem and you get a ticket for it, dont whine to me about it.

I quit using rain-x a long time ago when I almost got killed because of using it.. ..the thing with rain-x is that once you taint your windshield with it you have to continually apply a new coat at least every 3 or 4 weeks. When it "wears out", which it does over time, it loses it effectiveness in such a manner that even wipers won't do you any good. The rain is just a smear on your windshield that can't be seen thru and the wipers are just going back and forth not helping at all. I agree it's great when first applied and for some time afterwards but you gotta keep putting it on an maintaining it...

you do realize a cb has an on off switch, so you can stop it from annoying you and you will have it when you need it for being called to a door?
