No I never received one. I can tell you my current companies policy which is to be smart but we do not ever use 53ft trailers. Our biggest truck is a 26ft flatbed straight truck. I drive our diesel dually which we hook to our catering trailer.

Calling me on my cel phone and waking me up only to leave a message fussing at me for not backing your position is not a great way to influence my opinion.
The fact is, according to you, the driver made a U-turn at an intersection without hitting anything or inconveniencing you. So what's the big deal?
And I don't care about "drag-racing" Werners. Probably a couple of guys governed at roughly the same speed and one trying to pass another. Typical day at the elephant races. -

I am not going to comment on professionalism or lack thereof.
I like being on this forum. I'm done with this thread. -

Anyways who cares unless this driver put your life or someone else's' in immeadiate danger why bother with this and if he did make you have to lock the brakes up or something, well then call him in i could care less, he probably shouldn't be on the road then.BigShrek72 Thanks this. -
I have bit my tongue over and over, but I have had enough. I don't know what your issues are and I really don't care! Watching you over the years it is easy to see that you are not cut out for this line of work. The simple fact that you have to ask this question bothers me, and I would not be comfortable on the road any where near you.
Your call to Injun and then response to her post about it clearly shows everyone on this forum that you do not understand life on the road, nor do you have any goal other than to bring attention to yourself. I don't know if you want pity or support, but it chaps my arse to see someone acting in such a childish manner.
Either get in a truck over the road or quit ######## about it already! Either way, I am tired of reading your drivel!
Block me, suspend me, I really don't care! I know there are others that feel the same way I do.Roadmedic, hunnerbunner, Brickman and 1 other person Thank this. -
Sometimes a u-turn is the only way out of a bad situation. It sounds like the driver may have chosen a poor location to turn around.
Part of our job as a professional driver is to map stuff out before ya get there so you know where you are going, and how to get back out. Unfortunately, construction and traffic can screw up the plan! The important thing is to make good, safe choices at that moment. The Challenger Thanks this. -
I was 300yrds away and could tell you the intersection. It is not a good one compared to some of the larger ones I have seen. Plus there is a good size parking lot next door. The u-turn did not cost me time in no shape or form as I was one street west. I bother with this as I have a heart for others and would not want to see what I saw two days ago. I saw a car t-boned by a recycling truck (the ones that do dumpsters).
LB,
I do understand life on the road completely. I know what it means to miss your family and crave sleep when you can not as you need to meet a delivery time. In addition, I know how it is when you have to drive 11hrs a straight without stopping and fudge your books. I know what it is like. The hardest thing for me was leaving my g/f. Driving costs me a lot of things. I took a local job to be with my family and my cat. Theres a reason why some of the truck drivers are loners.
