Completely? Really? How long have you been on the road? And your cat!?!?
I don't like being away from my girlfriend or my son either, but your cat? When I was in the Army I had a female soldier who broke down in tears trying to not deploy to Iraq because of her cat! I wan't to smack the crap out of her!
So you had to drive 11 hours and fudge a log book. What do you think you could possibly teach anyone on this forum?
I stand behind my previous post!
Whats Swift policies for U-turns???

LB,
I was on the road for six months and did a lot of sacrificing. My cat was my best friend and went everywhere with me before I gave him up. I do not have many friends due to the nature of my disability. I do have friends but all of them are out of state. In addition, I also understand more about being on the road than you think I do. I have nothing against you and would like to be on good terms with you. Some people are different and very attached to their animals like me.
I think I could teach people many things from life to backing a truck. It can be simple when taught the right way. I love nothing more than teaching or handing down skills to someone that I have learned.

Because I couldn't disagree with you more! A properly executed U-turn is perfectly acceptable as far as I'm concerned and the only reason some of these bottom feeders like Werner have rules against them is because they employ idiots that are unsafe drivers no matter what manuver they're attempting.
I don't do U-turns ever...You want to know why? Because I pull a spread axle trailer, That's why!
If I did not pull a spread axle I would have no problem making a U-turn now and then. Because I do pull a spread I have to be a lot more careful how I set up my approach to certain situations.
There are company drivers that pull spreads that will do U-turns but they are what is commonly referred to as idiots and they are the main reason that I will never even look at a trailer that has been pulled by a company hand.
You don't drive these trucks! You are in NO position to judge the actions of ANYONE that does drive these trucks so please refrain from doing so!lil may, trucker_101, Brickman and 4 others Thank this. -

Being an out of town driver, How am I supposed to know there's even a parking lot there?
If I do go into the parking lot and my loaded spread tears up the asphalt are you gonna pay for the repair for the damage that I just did to private property?
Of course not!
But you will tell me that you think I can't make a perfectly legal U-turn at an intersection because some fool in a 4 wheeler might run a red light and hit me?
Again I say....You are out of your depth here and have no understanding of how the real world of trucking works!trucker_101, lil may, localmack and 3 others Thank this. -
I couldn't agree with you more and KH needs to take his questions to another place where he can't find people whom agree with him

BlackW9,
Heres the intersection:

The lights change too often and look around there. There are places he could have turned. Even jimdriv3r agrees on this one.

It's not the disability causing your problems.
You have an issue or two that need addressing, you know what I'm talking
about.
Good Luck Hunter !!lil may Thanks this. -
