Which one will let me work “non-stop” for 7-10 weeks, and then take 2 weeks off? otr, I have everything I need to enjoy the downtime on truck, but getting a mini-cation is totally worth it.

Its me, the open road, good music, job freedom, scenery, good food, less routine. It's only a handful of available local jobs out there that pay OTR money. Most local jobs stay filled, then there's miles long waiting lists. I did the local thing, I'll take OTR any day without a 2nd thought.

It was an up or out situation. Sometimes referred to as High Year Tenure (HYT)

Maybe that loophole has been closed now.

Sometimes can call the detailer and request recall to active duty. Those guys are used for ships in drydock or being re-commissioned because Fleet Reservists being recalled don't count against the manpower allowance. -
