Some like OTR because they hate being home. Nagging wife, noisy kids, housework, lawn work, family stuff in general some guys despise it. So they figure leave it for the old lady to figure out, don’t want to be around her anyways, she gained 35 lbs last pregnancy, so lot lizards are more appealing.
What's the attraction to OTR in 2023?

I was OTR for 10 years until I had a little girl. Now I do more local. It all depends on the driver. I will say there's nothing like the open road going coast to coast, but I got a little of my life back when I decided to stick by the house.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
When @Chinatown talks about going from Florida to California and back again multiple times, it sounds pretty appealing to me if I'm being honest.
bryan21384, Chinatown and NH Guy Thank this. -

Reefer- day or two of loading produce, bump outside 150 mile radius and log in a whole new day of HOS. Reefer roaring, chicken lights glowing at night, as your big engine is pulling at 75 mph. - Kinda romantic, you either get it, or you don’t. I assume @Chinatown he is on that does!
