What's the best cell phone for a Trucker?

I have a iphone4 and with a wifi spot i can "facetime" with the family-it works really good for me but that's just my opinion.

 

I'm old fashioned, I have a Motorola Razr and have used it for over three years. I took the two year contract with AT&T unlimited talk which is great for my use. Coverage is decent in most areas, but in out of the way places it can be an issue. Just added the Verizon MIFI and I love it (so does my daughter.) I have internet access in places my phone won't work. Main issue is that you have to reboot the MIFI modem from time to time. You might want to look at Net10 also. They use the AT&T network, several choice of phones and plans including an unlimited plan. Best part is that there are no contracts to sign, it's month by month.

If you are doing the kind of work I did you need a tough simple phone.

A nokia e71 through straight talk. Unlimited talk text and data for 45 a month. It also has 3g and u can tether.

 

The e71 will tether so you can use it for internet on your laptop?

 

I have a simple LG env3, it works great and it is simple, that and a bluetooth headset and I am set. For internet I have an HP netbook, both have Verizon service. They both work very well and I am very happy with them. I used to have a smart phone, and it did alot of neat stuff, but it sucked as a phone. The netbook is great for getting on and hitting google maps and stuff, and the battery life is pretty good too. I also stream netflix and hulu on it over 3g.

 

I'm using the htc thunderbolt on verizon.

 

I've had the iPhone 4 Verizon since July. It is awesome. I can tether it to my laptop for Internet, too.
