What's the best engine you've had?

625HP 3406E 2WS backed by a 22918B and 3.70 gears. Boosted 40PSI barefoot. Grenaded the 40k rears and the 18918B.

it won’t die, no matter how much I pray for it too….

 

Same 318 DD, it could run backwards.

 

I think that could be said for a lot of Mack's!

 

You know what they say about Mack drivers.

 

Best overall? N14 525 Red Top.

Most reliable? NTC400 Big Cam II

 

The v12s were king of the hill. Naturally aspirated, (the blowers are scavenger blowers) they put out 450 hp when the next best was 335 Cummins. They also turbocharged them, either big single or twin turbos, and then they put out some serious horse pressure.

 

The one I drove was in a COE, half of the engine stuck out the back of the cab. Horrible fuel mileage but no hill was too big.
