Whats the best phone company to have for OTR?

If you end up driving in the western mountain states stay away from Sprint. They have bad coverage in sparsely populated areas. I use Verizon, company is not nice but they have good coverage in the low density western states.

 

Depends on many factors...

Are you wanting good coverage for calls?
Are you wanting good prices on data?
Are you wanting 48 States or just a Region?

 

Not sure I see the connection between this reply and the thread... shrug

 

ATT and Verizon are pretty comparable, just differences in prices on the options. Everyone else is going to have crappy coverage OTR. If you stay local/regional that may vary a little more on who is the best. With ATT and Verizon though, you need to get a plan. Their plans have contracts with other providers allowing you to roam for free, while their pay as you go/prepaid phones don't allow you to roam, so service sucks with them.

 

I'm not sure of the connection between cell phone companies and (wait lemme hit myself in the head with hammer a couple times so I can get stupid enough to finish this sentence) training at Swift.

Tell you what OP why don't you get Sprint and drive for Swift. That way you can be consistent in your crappyness.

 

I switched from TMO to Verizon years ago.
Pretty happy with them.
Then a couple years ago in an attempt to save money I switched to Sprint.
I would have saved a ton of money but had horrible coverage and unbearable slow data speeds.
So... A week or two is all it took. Back on VZW.


The school thing.. I went to the San Antonio School.
We stayed at a hotel. (if you lived more than x miles from said school).
You could leave the hotel and go do whatever after we were done for the day. There wasn't a lot of extra/free time though.
They picked us up early and didn't get back until late.
