Nope and why do you even care? Just pointing out that a little leg work on your part will answer questions like this. Or you could wait for the next one to pop up.

@88 Alpha talked about selectel on a different thread. They use Verizon post paid towers, only a lot cheaper than going direct through Verizon.

    88 Alpha Thanks this.

Still won't be the same coverage.
    I broke my phone once.

Bought a Verizon prepaid phone. Coverage was not the same.
Didn't have coverage where I knew for sure my other phone would have worked.

I changed to selectel a couple of months ago. It works the same as verizon for me. Its prepaid service, but they use verizon postpay towers(ie: you can roam without being charged extra). If you have a postpaid verizon phone you just need a new sim card to use it on selectel.

Verizon without question. $125 / month, two phones, unlimited everything. I can literally watch U-Tube on the phone in the middle of no where. I talk for hours. Sometimes you will have to drop a call or redial to pick up a new tower.

ExOTR and EZ Money Thank this.

Yeah, Verizon all the way. There are only a handful of areas in the country where I did not have signal. One of them is on I-40 around Cuervo NM. (Middle of nowhere) Sprint is a junk network. I use a Sprint phone for work and always have signal issues even in large cities. How did you get that plan BTW? I pay around $200 a month for two smartphones with 18 gigs of data.

    ExOTR Thanks this.

I had good luck with AT&Ts network but dropped them in favor of Sprint because they had really reasonable unlimited everything plan. I wouldn't call it a big mistake because I use the hell out of data when I have service, but it's definitely very low coverage. Anything west of Omaha or Fargo is roaming in the top half of the country. No service until Cheyenne and Denver. Southern half very spotty, unless your in a metropolitan area. SE is usually pretty good, northeast a bit spotty in lesser populated states such as Vermont and NH and rural parts of NY. Ill be going to Verizon in the near future. Ive found i havent been using as much data as I anticipated anyway.

For phone coverage. US Cellular is good. Not real good with download in some Data coverage. I Used them for many years.
A year ago I switched to Verizon, it cost more but I have no problem downloading permits or other paperwork anywhere.
US Cellular about 10% of time I would have to restart download.

Dunno, maybe was sale when I got them. Got a smartphone & standard flip for my dad ( and even that is the bane of his existence sometimes lol ).
The only place I've found it doesn't work in the lower 48 was on the way to Sioux City coming up from St. Joseph. Tried to call, and it said " Your carrier does not have an agreement for this area ." CLICK
I was going wow, hope I don't have a problem here, it was in Iowa. Cause I use it for everything, dispatch, payroll, etc.
$125 month both phones. Dude through in a LG blue tooth head set, the one you wear around your neck, and put the plugs in your ears. At first I was thinking yea whatever, now, I use it everywhere, even when I'm not driving, it's the ultimate.
