Yes, thanks for the input. I've had back pain in the past, and although I'm good now, I don't want to experience the pain again -- especially if I'm out on the road somewhere. Based on what I'm reading here, it looks like I'll be okay.

This getting-into-OTR can be nerve-racking. There is just so much uncertainty along with the steep learning curve, and it would be costly to try to get out of it too rapidly if it's not a good match. Thus, every bit of information we noobs can get from those of you with experience is invaluable. Thanks for sharing!

I was in a bad accident in a straight truck. Was rear ended by a fellow the was running 80mph in a 55 and I was at a dead stop, trying to make a left. The state police report said he was running 80+ so we'll just say 80. Anyway, my back was screwed after that and I had to go through alot of physical therapy and all that. Never really bothered me much when I was on the skateboard. Driving over rough road bothered me more than tarping. :biggrin_25525: But that was in a Peterbilt too though.. not exactly the smoothest truck on the road.

I think a flatbed trailer is sometimes lovingly referred to as a skateboard.:toothy7:

You bet. I've got to talk to them tomorrow and ask some questions. I'm also going to be calling a second company to compare with... Then, I'll see what happens next.

Keep us informed of your progress.
