What's the best way to for an European driver to get a job in Canada?

Hello to you all,

I have been studying online for many months the opportunity to immigrate to Canada as a truck driver and I am struggling to find the correct approach. Do I need to visit the province of interest and knock on doors with a resume ? do I need to email from Home and wait for a response ?
Here is my background and please let me know if I stand a chance or not ?
I am 40 yld and French yet I have spent 23 years in England. I was a chef for 20 years until my new careers as a driver. During my national service in France and at the age of 18 I passed my lorry licence but I gave it up when I arrived in England thinking that I would never be a lorry driver in the UK. Last year I decided to repass my class 1 and 2 and managed to get it first time with only 2 minors. Since I have been driving on the self employed basis mainly on a wag and drag, double decker vehicle delivery (11 cars), tankers, removal artics, containers and of course curtain trailer. 6 nights on the road which I absolutely love, going to Ireland where I have met some amazingly loving folks.
My licence is clean, I had a car accident last year coming back home but it wasn't my fault and the other party has admitted responsibility. No criminal records either.

I have been to Canada many times in the past and of course the dual language is very attractive for me as a Frenchman with a small Irish accent
I absolutely love the roads, the Canadian philosophy of life and the stunning country. I would be proud to be a Canadian!

So yes I had a licence for a year now but I have plenty of experience and sterling recommendations.
