Of course. Dispassionately, with 2 weeks notice in documented form. http://www.wikihow.com/Write-a-Resignation-Letter

If he is a good freind, just be honest and tell him you need to get out of this situation.
One reason why not to work for relatives or friends. -
If it's a good company, you could probably give them a 2 weeks notice first. It all depends if you know what I mean. -
I recently just finished my year of OTR and got hired on at a local fuel delivery company. How I managed to transition from one job to the next was as follows:
- Requested home time and sent up some interviews.
- Spoke directly to our General Manager and told him I'd be using him as a business reference.
- Gave two weeks notice.
- Cleaned out the majority of my belongings beforehand.
- Completed my two weeks.
- Got the truck washed and vaccummed the interior before turning it into the yard.
- Said my goodbyes and thanks to everyone in the office and the other drivers.
Now I'm not speaking for everyone because this may not be feasible for every person but the key is not to burn any bridges and to return the truck the way it was issued. Be professional in your conduct always if possible. -
"drive the truck off the road into a random ditch, take a crap on the drivers seat...." right out of the CR Englands Drivers handbook
ethos Thanks this. -

Go poop on the boss's car.

Quitting is perhaps the easiest thing to do... If you have one of them goofy computer/trackers in your truck... Simply, clean out the truck... make sure you have a ride. And message them, "I'm Stepping The F... Off". LOL!
-
That should do it,no notice required.

Ask the bosses wife out on a date, or sleep with her if you get the chance, you'll be gone in no time.
