And those aren't all that rare either. I see at least half a dozen like that a day out here in Alberta.
What's the Deal with these Log truck drivers?

Flat ground no doubt. Tundra? Cause those trucks won't work in a Oregon winter.
Rusty Trawler Thanks this. -
Yeah its relatively flat out here. The standard super b's seem to work ok out in BC. I'd imagine they might have to widen the corners out a bit for a 9 or 10 axle though. Super b's are a lot more common now than they were 10 years ago. They can load the rear pup onto the lead trailer to shorten it up for the trip up the mountain.

18 dollars and hour to haul logs. Only in the u s a would someone work for that in logging. Here in Ontario some are hourly and most are percentage. Someone who doesn't have his thumb jammed up his ### and actually goes to work to produce and not #### the dog can make 30$ per hour on average

I ran 8 axle super b down here but it was on pavement. Best combination set up out there. Easy to load, back them up and follow/track well in the corners. Actually I drove quite a few Canadian built trucks. Whole nother level of truck compared to American rigs.

My uncle has been doing that for the last 30 years. He rolled his truck when the logs shifted. He doesn't remember the accident at all. He drives 5 over the speed limit on the state roads back home. All hardwood lumber. They run to their own mill. Old equipment but he is working when the weather allows. He can work me under the table if he wants to. I wouldn't want his job.

Try living here we have a paper mill and all the trucks are given an agricultural pass so not legal without that pass and they push it further and are constantly still getting oos
BUMBACLADWAR and okiedokie Thank this. -
