Whats the deal with this blue tooth crap!

Amazon.com Blue Parrot B-250XT $69.99 free shipping. New. I have had mine over one year. No problems. Pairs up quickly with my Galaxy S. This model does not work with iPhone 4 or later.

 

Well, the first step is admitting it.

 

Really, it works great with my iPhone 4s. Siri even dials and text messages for me via it.

 

The only issue I have eth the parrot is actually more of a phone issue. The voice dial gets confused. If I tell it to dial IBC it dials Bonnie. If I say dial ibck then it says dialing IBC. There are some others that it screws up as well.

 

Perhaps you could help me out sir? My iPhone 4 went swimming with me yesterday, and I picked up a 4s today. Normally without Siri I could do a single button press on the BT-250XT, issue my voice dial command, and we'd be on our way. Now it seems that Siri needs an additional button press when I'm done speaking, but if I try that on the headset, it just cancels the voice control. Do I need to hit a different button for press #2?

 

you need to hold the "on" button down for about 25 seconds to put it into pairing mode for the phone to find it.

 

Siri does not like me. She acts just like a hormonal female.

 

I just the hit the big button, wait for the beep and issue my command. Siri is a bit slower via bluetooth unless you speak plain vanilla english. Supposedly she gets better with time as she learns. I personally am not a huge fan of Siri, as she never works properly BESIDES dialing and texting. Those commercials on TV are BS, and I find it funny that now that they've been sued for misrepresenting Siri, I haven't seen one.
