Patti. You are better off.I am established and been around for over 25 years.I am tying a knot and hanging on..

If i had to start today,NOT A CHANCE.They got this CDL so screwed up and it's nothing more than a peice of paper..They lie, cheat and manipulate these ''new'' drivers and then rip them off for 7-10,000.

Back years a ago our Chauffers was worth alot and meant alot...Those days are gone forever. If you can just find a job driving anything, you would be better off than living like an animal in these ''big trucks''...

    He's talking about these. http://www.concretepumpdepot.com/Putzmeister-42m-63m-concrete-pumps.html.

The only weight limits on class b trucks are what states place on them. I drove a tri axle dump in PA, the weight limit was 73,280. We regularly ran with more than that usually over 80k. I am now driving a tri axle vaccum truck which is permitted for 73500. NJ you can run 80k on a tri axle.
NY has a lot of different weights. They at one time allowed 84k for tri axle with a permit, but dropped them to 79k.

Class A's don't mean #### anymore because there are so many new drivers coming in to the industry willing to work for nothing. On top of that, Third Party testing has become the norm, and anybody whos ever attended a school or academy that uses TPT knows there are tons of students who have no business behind the wheel of anything getting a big A slapped on their license, simply for showing up and not killing anybody. This has become an industry of ex-cons, long term unemployed and burn out slackers willing to work for table scraps and nothing more. The only downside is that often times these people arent even cut out for a job at mcdonalds, let alone the responsibility of what is literally a federally regulated career.

A B and C are the same everywhere. C is just your basic license.

It was mentioned that some class "B' jobs pay better if you have a class "A".

What is the reason for this?
