By truck: Calgary, AB to Kapuskasing, ON (1,640 mi), which is slightly longer than several Calgary to Victorville, CA (1,465 mi) runs. And with 300 gallons of fuel, my fuelling and logs matched. :D

By car: Yellowknife, NT to Orlando FL, by way of Calgary; about 3,800 miles. Although I didn't drive that one all by myself. I did do the Yellowknife to Calgary stretch entirely, dropped off the family in Calgary, picked up a couple friends and then hit the road to Orlando. We team-drove to Orlando, but I did about half. Yellowknife to Calgary straight through in my car was pretty routine as I did that trip about once per month.

Did Calgary to Inuvik, NT (2,160 mi) virtually straight through once. We had to wait for about an hour-and-a-half for the gas station to open in Dawson City, so that was the only rest.

In my personal vehicle when I moved to Colorado in 2002 I drove from South Bristol Maine to Breckenridge Colorado in 31 hours. It was about 2,450 miles which means my average speed was about 79mph. I drove nonstop to Iowa, slept 3 hours in my car, got up and drove the rest of the way. As soon as I got situated I thought it would be a good idea to go and celebrate my arrival and I proceeded to get hammered. Bad idea. Drinking at sea level is one thing. Drinking at 9,600' above sea level is another. I think I'm still hungover from that night.

Back before Elogs, I once drove 1182 miles nonstop.
Let me tell you, the toll it takes on the body is incredible.
    #### near took me another day just to unwind enough so I could sleep.

Not non stop. But back when I was in my early 20's, I worked for a transit bus company. Got paid every two weeks. Only was paid for driving time mind you. And one of those pay periods I made 183 hours. Wasn't the greatest decision ever though. I had to take almost a week off just to be able to look at another bus again.

    Yep. Bad idea.
When I was in the military I was flying to California for a vacation.
Sat next to a SGM retired on the plane.
He drank Whiskey Sours I drank Vodka Collins all the way from St Louis to our stop and transfer in LA.
Let me tell ya. At 30,000 feet you can drink a lot of alcohol.
We got down to sea level and they had to roll me off of the plane. I was hung over for three days.

That was my thought exactly, the old timers that would run 4000 plus weekly are the true road dogs .
