This probably isn't good to bragging about this stuff online in today's world, but The longest I went was from Atlanta, to Laredo and only stopped to use the bathroom from time to time and that was about 1100 miles. The quickest I ever went was a hot shot load from a company down the street (won't say the name) from my house outside of Kansas City to some little city down on the Gulf in Louisiania. It was 928 miles and I did it in 12.5 hours. I was in a car, so while they doesn't sound real fast, if you've ever been down hwy 71 from Ft. Smith, Ar to Texarkana, then you know there are a bunch of little towns and a bunch of curvy roads, plus since I was in a car I had to stop a couple times for fuel. To top is off it stormed the whole way down which is why the couldn't put it on a plane. It was some pressure relief valve going to a off shore oil rig. They called me every hour on the hour checking to see where I was at and thruout the whole trip they were trying to plan for me to meet a plane but the weather was horrible the whole way down so I end up driving the whole way. I cruised between 95mph-105mph. When I got there the helicopter was sitting there waiting for me. Three little boxes not much bigger then a shoe box. They paid me $2500, more then I ever made in a semi. Also while I love American cars, my hat's off to the little Subaru I had. The awd and what ever tires I had on it really helped it with the heavy downpours. It only hydroplaned a handful of times. I wouldn't do it today because of the new over 15mph rules, but otherwise I had a blast. Other then having to go out on Martha's Vineyard with a oversize load, that was the neatest trip I took.

50 hours awake not sure how much was driving. jacksonville,fl to dallas then to the twin cities. the day after I got out of high school. in my 4 wheeler. I had a few brake downs that had to be fixed good enough to keep it moving. or would have been way faster. I learned caffeine stops working after awhile. and that swerving because the pink bunnies means it was time to stop for a nap hours ago. I have been known to drive my 4 wheeler for 24 hour trips non stop other then gas many times. the trip from jacksonville,fl to motley,mn (its a small city about 3 hours north of the twin cities up hwy 10). most of my moms family lives up in mn and due to family members dying and other emergencies I have done this trip many many times.

I say BS major BS that is 2618 miles...your looking at about 36 hours
nonstop and your saying you did it in 32 minus the 3 hr time difference
is 29 hours and that would be no stopping for fuel......:biggrin_2559:

People have told me I couldn't do 750 miles in 11 hrs which can be done.

But even using that average 3000 miles would be 44 hrs so 2600 would be
about 38 hours and that would be nonstop meaning no fuel stops or anything.

Underhill, Vermont to Charlotte, North Carolina = 1050 Miles = 16 hours

When I moved I had been awake for 36 hours straight before I leaving and had everything I owned which was mainly my tool boxes and tools so I could work when I got to NC (anything that didn't fit in my 1995 Honda Civic 2Dr went in the trash) so my car was pretty much dragging on the ground from the weight, I only stopped for gas and one 20 min break after the 10 hour mark for gas/food/bathroom. Had the cruise set at the speed limit the whole way.

I've done this trip twice, the second time in my Subaru Legacy GT got up at 9am and left VT at 9pm got to NC at 3pm took 18 hours that time lol

We used to run big dairy cattle out of WI to Starkville, MS.
Break there, reload and run Starkville to Miami (Hollywood), FL.
Ran the 918 miles (chute to chute) in 19 (+ or -) hours.
Pay was $.05 per loaded mile and a $20.00 bonus if you made it under
    20 hrs.
Load, leave, stop FL scales at Suwanee River to turn in USDA health cert
on the cattle, fuel up at Inglis, FL, unload at McCarthur Dairies in Hollywood. Come back out to US1 corner and call in from the phone booth there to claim the bonus.
Shabby?? Yeah well, it was in the middle 50's, R190 IH gas, 36 foot bull rack, and running US82, US231, and US98. The old narrow two lane roads with right down main street in every town. Speed limits of 45 MPH most.

Point is, get in, close the door and drive. I was 20 years old and had 5 gal kidneys then.

Just for the record I am now 74 and ran from Tupelo, MS to Round Rock,TX last month. 712 miles door to door in <12 hours. US45, MS 25, to Jax, MS, I20 to Marshall, TX,(interstate grade), US79 on to RR (2 lane).
1st stop Walmart in West Monroe, LA, fuel and drain, 2nd Rockdale, TX, fuel and more drain, then on in.
Shabby??? YEah, well in my little ISUZU Hombre pick up (4 cyl) and inclement weather all the way. Kidneys have shrunk on me......
