I find it funny how people that have only been on this website for a week, become instant "know it all's" and have yet to post anything that is not negative towards fellow drivers. You have posted nothing of value to anybody on this website. Granted I'm a little bit reserved about bragging on this post, but everybody has a story to tell. Some may be BS but many are probably pretty acurate. Eitherway, if you can't enjoy the stories of others because you have nothing to top it, then move on........MTN Boomer Thanks this. -
KWhooper, the feller that started this thread has never returned.
Hummm wonder if it's cause I called BS on his "story"... -
Confided in me once while covering the bottle: Now that big "Yellow Jacket" there makes Starkville, MS to Miami,Fl (918 miles) seem like a city delivery.....
At age 25 he looked 50. Go out and run a trip, come in and party, leave out again, pill up out an back, come in and drink a beer or buttermilk to kill benny so he could sleep some. Old body can't stand that.
Besides, you could break your neck getting pilled to the gills and walking in to get coffee. Them days you could tell them by the extra high steps they took, almost like they were stepping over a sawhorse each step. But sit down next too you and nearly miss the stool. -
Can nearly always have a clear path to go by when you catch and if some
hot car comes up, he can shoot on by and keep the poison off you.
P.S. Loved AZ many many years back. Speed limit was reasonable and proper for conditions. Clean dry road, good looking rubber, the man never glanced at you. -

Man back about 10 years ago I ran for a company called G.O.D. out of newark NJ. we usually ran team from newark, NJ to columbus,OH to milwaukee then back to newark...I tried it once on my own.....I was so tired heading back east on the ohio turnpike I was rocking back and forth in my seat, talking to myself, sticking my head out the window and chugging jolt colas (cant find them anymore for the life of me) I will never do something like that again!!!!

or whenever and got there the next night at 10:30 pm.
That trip is 2,600 miles. So if you did 1,110 miles in one day you yourself
are admitting you lied about how fast you make that trip..Freebird135 Thanks this. -
