I haven't had any problems in the States I've been too. I keep it professional when I talk to HP or DOT. This means to me by having my paperwork,CDL, and Medical Card ready for the trooper if I get pulled over or taking what the scalemaster requested when I go into a scalehouse.

    TT,

You will not get bashed by me. I agree on Florida and the officers have treated with respect there too; even the DOT was nice when I was driving a panel truck with table saws.

I like OK, MO, AZ, OH, FL. In my first days I accidentally went to far on scale in MO and the guy was cool about it. Also I called a officer buddy in AZ at the scale on I10 and he laughed it off and sent me on my way.

Florida used to allow 500lbs over without a fine.

Commiefornia lots of the scales close at 5pm. Budget cuts.

New Mexico had an army of officers on I-10 a few weeks go flat out generating revenue! Heard about it on Sirius and on the CB. They were targeting O/Ops.

    RT,

Heard about that one. My former boss did not get stopped thank goodness though the truck in the front and rear did. He is an o/o too. My rule of thumb for scales is be care during the first couple days and last week of the month. Usually, the officers are out hunting for people to pull over.
