The longest 2 DH's I have ever done was a few days before Christmas, I got stuck in Jonesboro Arkansas in an ice storm. All the roads were shut down for over a day. When they finally got clear, I didn't even try to look for a load, I just headed south to Mobile, and parked for the holiday.

Louisville Ky. to Mobile Al. I was in Louisville unloading and my little girl called crying, because a snake had fallen out of a tree and landed on her. Didn't bite her but lordy was she crying. I headed south as fast as my old Pete would run, got there about 9 hours later and she was still crying.

If we are talking about deadheading for a prebooked load: Denver to Dubuque IA for some Deere, Orlando FL to Michigan City IN for a load of shingles, Denver to Jeff City, MO many times for transformers, Nogales to McAllen TX for FAK.
If we're talking just bouncing home, San Antonio TX to Orlando, FL via Jefferson GA or JFK, NY to Orlando.

Houston, TX to Grand Prairie, AB. Hauled some shacks out of up there to Houston and they wanted me to get another round so they paid me 2.50 a mile to go back empty. Did that 6 times back to back and took a month off.
