Whats the newest Shippensburg stink

For the 10 year verification, does this include a brand new driver as well, or just for someone with past CMV truck driving experience.

For the brand new driver, would it only be the last 3 years?

If you look at your Social Security card it says right on there "Do not laminate."

It is not illegal, but an employer may refuse to accept it.

 

Most places will want your 10 year history. For DOT purposes, a company is only required to verify the last 3 years of a new driver's employment.

 

Your SS Card cannot be laminated. You will get sent home for that. Go to your local SSA office and get a new one.

 

I just finished the 3-day Orientation there a couple weeks ago... after 3 days we only had about 3 or 4 drops out of a class of about 35. And most of them were because of a failed Drug Test or lacked current social security paperwork, didn't see anyone with a laminated one, but a few people were asked to actually sign their cards because they forgot to and it isn't valid until they do. The very last second your there in orientation is the results of your drug test... I think the Orientation would be one day if they could get the results back sooner.. but we were hired and sent on our way to our trainers the minute the results came in.. one dude waited 3 days with the rest of us, sat in the classes all day long each day and was released in the last 10 minutes because he actually smoked a Joint the day before Orientation.

If someone is that brain dead that they think that wouldn't get noticed on a test they deserve to waste their time for 3 days. Stunning to the rest of us that someone would be that dependent on drugs when they know they're getting a piss test. By the way, only thing people didn't care much for the entire 3 days was having their genitals pocked and prodded by the female doctor that does the hernia check... so if you have a problem being naked from the waste down in front of a female doctor then good luck to you. It doesn't matter if you have a DOT card already... they give you a whole new one.

 

Technically, you should always keep your Social Security card where it can't get washed... like in the middle of your passport if you have one. Keeping it in your wallet you're just asking to have it washed and frayed.
