As long as you stay west of the Mississippi and the states bordering it you are legal at 14ft. (west of MN, IA, MO,AR, and LA)
-
Wow, you got lucky by not turning it into a 13’6” convertible. Had that been me, one trip through Memphis and it wold have ended my career..didn’t even know a 14’ van existed.God prefers Diesels, Vampire, Chieftains and 3 others Thank this.

Swift used to have them. They sat 13'6", but dropped the suspension to get them that height. They jacked them up to 14' when they loaded.Accidental Trucker and Concorde Thank this.

Swift used to have some trucks and trailers that sat on 19.5’s. Trailers had the cube of a 14 footer but were 13’6” overall. They used them running tissue paper out of Lewiston ID after they bought out West’s Best.Feedman, D.Tibbitt, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this.

Basically you’re gaining 265 cubic feet more inside the trailer. 116” inside height versus 110” on a standard van.
Flat Earth Trucker, Feedman and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
You put a tape measure on it ?

I got 225.25 ft³ using 8'6" wide. Assuming that 8' are usable, I got 212 ft³. Is my math wrong?
