What's the punishment for deleting DEF?

We all have our agendas don't we!

 

So my buddy and a former coworker bought a 06 Pete from another coworkers dad yesterday.
90K for miles..$130,000. cash.Been used sparingly and kept indoors.
He hauls end dump locally.
He's a happy camper.

 

Sounds like a ripoff.

 

That's like $80,000 in 2020 dollars...

 

Maybe...but try to find that truck w every option and let me know. He is running a 87 Sterling and has been looking for near 2 years.
He'll run it for 3 years to pay it off and sell it for 100K easy.

 

Where I live there’s more deleted trucks than emissions trucks as far as local guys anyway. I don’t know of a shop around that won’t work on a deleted truck unless you go to a dealership. It cost me around $3,300 to delete mine and no more problems and no more DEF. As far as I’m concerned it’s a no brainer. If they give me some big fine I’ll just be out of business. Emissions issues would put me out a lot faster than it looks like the government will.
