    No bunk heater in that old cabover Mack.:biggrin_25514: Been there done that and felt like GOD when I was given the keys to that F MODEL MACK COE as I thought it was a step up from the B MODEL

    Even the 'nicer' trucks with some plastic upholstery stuff lining the sleeper, and maybe minimal insulation, you'd wake up with frost covering the head of every screw or fastener in the sleeper.

    I used to be happier to park when there was heavy fresh snow falling, since it would coat the outside of the truck while I was parked, and at least keep the wind out.

    Sorry guys, no idle. Just using bunk heater so I " can't just turn the defroster on". Thanks for the positive comments.

    If you are using your bunk heater, and closing the curtains, then only crack your curtain about 3/4 of the way. After you change of course, and that will solve the issue. Worked for me.

    My bunk heater turns truck into a sauna, even n on low...dont run it much...glad I still have en my ol army sleeping bag...

    Hi FLATBED, actually, the F model Mack was a pretty nice truck. I knew a guy that had one with a V-8 (Mack?) and he loved it. AH, the old "beeper" Mack. I always liked the style of the B model, but never actually drove one. I started on R models. My first boss told of B model Mack he had with that curved back, 200hp, camelback suspension and a 5X4 transmission and "armstrong" steering. THAT was trucking!
