-I work 4 ten hour days and I was told if I couldn't deliver my loads throughout New England without overtime, I will have to go to a 5 day, eight hour week.
If I can't do it in 10hours I'm absolutely positive that I can do it in 8hrs.I told my boss that I might have to go to a 6 or 7 day week if I can't do it in 8 hrs.
    Are you kidding me ??

Shipper gave my paperwork to another driver and left me sitting in the docks for several hours after.
When I told the broker he needed to re-schedule the appointment he said "What do I tell my customer?"
Gee I dont know.. maybe.... You shouldn't have given his paperwork to another driver!!!

I gotta tell a small story of Moronism.
I was given three stops when I was at the office. One of them was SDV to Air New Zealand.
I got fuel and then thought more about it, I know there is no Airline hub in Houston called Air New Zealand. At least I was 98% sure. I THOUGHT it was Land Air. I asked dispatch to call and check. I got a text reply "It is Air New Zealand.

Dispatcher is fairly new. The guy at SDV that put the order out is fairly new. I carried that crate around for a while. Then got a dispatch from SDV to Land Air. The Airway bill on that package was Air New Zealand. I was right, they where wrong!!!

I was told that I volunteered to give up a high paying run & take the weekend off, so another driver could have the run. When I sent to the terminal for my load, it was gone by several hours. When the truth came out, the dispatcher wanted the other driver out of town because the dispatchers brother was having an affair with that drivers wife. Payback is rough; my dispatchers wife found out he was having an affair with the secretary and divorced him. His wife was his high school sweetheart and they had been married about 20 years. I actually saw the guy cry and have severe depression problems. lol

That place was like a cheap soap opera. Some of us drivers may look stupid, but don't judge a book by the cover.

Was given 3 loads and delivered one load and picked up second load, looked at the third load sheet and the pickup was before delivery on second load. So I called the head shed and advised them, was told not to worry and just follow up.

Arrived late for appointment on third load and called in, was told I should have been early for my appointment and at that time I told them you are correct and my trucks jet engine was busted.

    Silence on the phone............

Ran out of hours waiting to get loaded on third load, called in and they asked me how I ran out of hours waiting to get loaded, company policy was you must log on duty while being loaded.

Told them I run my logs like the company says to do, dispatch tells me safety is stupid and do not pay attention. I went to safety on Monday and dispatcher was fired on Wednesday, Karma works.
