Well today was a complete Cluster (fill in the blank) I Picked up in Cactus TX ( JBS Plant) for a delivery 2 days later in Rochester, MN, No Problem it is only 900 miles. So I make it to Southern Iowa on I 35 stop at 3:00 am well at 8:30 my #### qualcomm goes off. Customer Service rep send new Delivery, the customer can not store the product I am to take it to Le Mars, Iowa north of Sioux City to some cold Storage. My Delivery Info Stated Unknown Cold Storage, Le Mars IA. No Problem it was to deliver on the 23rd, and I am 6 hours from Le Mars, I call in let them know i will be there on the 22nd, and I need the address, phone number etc. Well I arrive in Le Mars and NO INFO, So I Call in to Night Dispatch, the first thing he says IS " why in the hell are you in Le Mars, IA " your load delivers to MN", I tell him to look at the rest of the load notes. He does and say take it to the address on the BILLS. I am now fuming mad, I again explain why I am where I am, and that I need either a Phone Number or a address, all the while My truck is parked in the middle of the right lane of Business 75 in Po Dunk Iowa, and Some Very nice local pulls up ( I am on the Wireless headset) and Ask Where I am going I tell him I have no clues nor does the jerk off on the phone, He Ask what are you hauling, I tell him. He then informs me HE is the night Super at the local Nor Cam Cold storage and has been waiting for me, and that the local PD Called him and told him where I was sitting. He tells me that My wonderful Customer service rep told Him I would be in BY 12:00PM. So I follow him to the whse and get unloaded, NO issue Drop the trailer ( I am taking a 34 at a Hotel) and call in that I have signed bills and load is empty. I get another person on the phone this time and HE goes off about Me being in wrong place etc, I let him go off for ten minutes, then I had to ask how far does he sit from the other guy, he says right next to him, I respond " just ask him I do not have the time to explain this to you I am getting some food and checking into the hotel" To which he says So when are you gonna deliver your Load, To which I ask Do You know how to read the computer messages we send in, if so Read the last one I sent and figure it out. (THIS gets better)
So I check into the room 4 hours ago, and I just got a call from number 3 Dispatcher telling me I am not going to make my Delivery ontime, After I stopped laughing I told her are you serious I won't make it, I better go tell the Consignee I have to reload and Go Hide and Be late cause She Said so.

UPS load from Werner pulling a loaded trailer out of LA CA, going to denver CO. Load is set up kinda weird, 2 stops. One in one part of denver, co, where we are to drop this trailer and pickup an empty then go to another ups and drop that empty and pickup another empty, at least thats what it seemed to be saying on the QC.

I didn't bother asking night dispatch because they are idiots but at the beginning of my next driving shift I asked, we were at hte small truck stop west of denver west of vail mountain. Small little place with a nice restaurant. I asked why we were taking an empty to from the one UPS to the other UPS.

    The reply... "Aren't you loaded?"

Quallcomm message sent to the entire fleet at Halvor Lines: "...the only way to improve our safety rating is to stop hitting things."
