Beyond repairs, all metals work harden, aluminum much faster than steel. Although its not always easy to spot, often you will see a slight difference in coloration/texture in those areas, and if you do... walk away.
Aluminum frames are heat treated/aged when they are built. Very few repair shops have the capabilities to do it. Its not a question of IF that repair will fail... Its a question of WHEN.LoneCowboy, stwik, snowman_w900 and 1 other person Thank this. -

This ICC bar looks like it was hit pretty hard to crinkle the end of the frame like that. Could it have also pushed it forward enough to make both rails not sit even anymore? They're asking 9k for this one. Just not sure how extensive that frame damage is or if it's not a big deal. What do you guys think?
