They are in the process of regulating the doctors who can give DOT physicals and computerizing the medical card data anyways. It won't be long and they can pull your info up just like on a drivers license. Too many are failing at one doctor and go to the next and hide the info.

HEY !! Dr Galakawitz is my brother in law !!.Next time you see him,say hey for me. -
crimenal charges lead to jail forgery is a fleoney in many states.
Try driveing a truck after getting that on your record. -
How's this for an answer to the question "What's to stop me from forging my medical card"
Honesty, integrity, principles and values.mtnMoma Thanks this. -
Nothing to stop you at all.
I personally know a fellow driver who is doing just that.
He can't pass his DOT physical cause his blood pressure is way too high.
He's on meds for same and they help - but he still can't get under the strict new specs.
Most cops and scalehouses won't go to the trouble of running down your medical card
if you get pulled over or go thru a weigh station.
But if you even get into something as minor as a fender bender yer screwed for sure.
And there are big fines to go with any judgment they find against you.
The mega haulers are aware of this practice and require a pre-employment
physical regardless of your current medical status.
Smaller companies and family outfits are pretty lax and will accept your existing card.
But if yer driving with a phony medical yer playin with fire fer sure.Last edited: Sep 20, 2011

For 150.00 they should have kissed you after letting you back up after that reach around. -
Mostly I'm frosted that at my last two employers they paid for it,,,
also my insurance with this company is pretty lousy,,,
And anybody thinks $60-150 is chump change, you must be the drivers handing out the $20's to panhandlers at T/A. (somebody's got to be doing it, why else would they hang around)
I get $150 PER WEEK (!) taken out of my check for an insurance policy I never use. The least they could do was cover my REQUIRED FOR MY EMPLOYMENT physical.
Earlier this year I had a toenail infection, ran a course of anti-biotics and they left me on the hook for the WHOLE visit! (it wasn't much, but what the heck am I PAYING you guys for?!?)
Anyway I had more freight in the spring and the kid has moved up from (free) boobs to (how much per frickin' JAR?!?) baby food. So anything I can do to defer costs is a good thing.
(of course, for this same premium,,, I can have full pre-natal/pediatrics/etc. for as many kids as my wife can pump out! It's just frustrating to be on the low side of the risk/benefit side of an insurance equation.) -
My last 2 times i noticed this...
NOT worth getting busted for forging a card.
Call around,You can get one for around 50 bucks if you make a few calls.
