    #### had them on every truck the last 20 years. Never give me a problem. Service yearly and no issues. Mileage will vary

I idle nonstop. From the time I leave the yard until the time I return. I hate the environment just as much as I hate nosey people all up in everybody else's business. I'm just doing my part to help wipe humans off the earth. Breathe that fresh air from under your 6 masks.

We’re in the maritimes. Temp and humidity all over the map. I’ve been suspecting purge frequency accelerating wear. It’s noticeable the difference in purge frequency depending on where the truck is. Guys out on the prairies don’t seem to have the problems I have, colder out there in winter but nowhere near the humidity. My buddy in Hongcouver has the same problems with his that I have though. That’s what makes me suspect maybe it’s the ambients.

I agree with the other person, that's hysterical. That's an awesome cool response. I'm still laughing.

And that is equally as good. Excellent answer. For what it's worth I bet that engine sounds like a growling cat ready to show the other cats, and big cams, who's boss.

If it’s their truck let them be. but yeah the newer trucks don’t like idling much it’ll mess with the emissions system and you’ll need to do standing regens more often. My 2020 that I got brand new is at 300k miles and has yet to do a sitting regen but that’s because I use the heck out the APU.

If I shut my truck off, it probably won't start. Makes changing the oil pretty tricky.

Cooler than 40 or hotter than 75 I'm idling for comfort. But usually the truck is running, I'm local so a tiny bit more idle time to keep comfy is no big deal. And no emission system for me to clog up. Bump the idle to 900 and I sleep like a baby
