I hate to idle the truck and know what idling does to the emission systems on these new trucks. That being said, I'm an old guy and I am not going to get cold, or hot, because the company does not care to equip the trucks with an apu or something. So I idle pretty much every night I spend in the truck. Which is maybe once a week.

When I was growing up and going on truck trips with my dad, the truck idled.

I do like the feel of the diesel running while sleeping.

I dont care if you idle. It’s a free country. I do despise hearing the air purge go off every 2 minutes. It seems like all the Volvos do it no matter the age of the truck.

There are studies that say we dont really get used to sleeping through noise. Yeah we sleep through it but its not a deep or restful sleep.

I like getting my sleep. Electric APU fam.

I idle cause I like to be comfortable. I don’t shut the heat or ac off in my house, why would I do it in my truck?

Because if I park in a truck stop and shut the truck off all I hear is stupidity all night.
Hollering trashy music the pornhub sound track the guys that drive like it's a nascar track and the crackheads walking around talking to themselves.

I Recall NO TRUCKING COMPANY Stating "Do Not Idle", Back To 01-1999.

Lotsa Warehouses Claimed Such, Especially North-Central & North-East.
Some Tripe About "Air Pollution" Yet A Fair Amount Uf Properties Looked Like Dump Sites.
I NEVER Gave Any Creedence To Those No Idling Signs, Unless Weather Was Between
    FREEZER-FRY!

    Dang Nabbit Wabbit!!
