the old LEE HI is a much better place to park anyway
but forced dispatch I suppose wouldn't allow stooping 45 miles earlier or later
or maybe it is still just poor trip planning
What's up with T/A and their "Parking Reservations" ?!?!?

I usually park at the Lee Hi when my hours run out midway on 81 but this last time I went in at 11:30pm local time I was met with the entire bottom section of the parking lot roped off for a truck show. Ran another 10 miles up to the Petro at the 205 and grabbed one of 3 parking spots that were left.

Nope. The one is still in renovations but is now a Petro.

And that is the primary reason I dont like TA/P's rewards system. AAAAAND you have to have at least 2000 points to get said voucher! I cant count how many times I've used my PFJ or Loves points to pay for my purchase when I've left my wallet in the truck!

I saw reserved parking for the first time at the TA just outside of St Louis. I was coming east and it was late at night and pulled in there looking for a spot. The first thing I noticed was red curbing outside the pumps that had either no parking or fire zone written on them. As I looked ahead I noticed the reserved parking where there was several empty slots.
I really couldn't believe it since my clock was down to ten minutes. I went up the road to another truck stop but that was full so I finally ended up at the rest area on the westbound side.
I've heard that the state of MO wants to charge for rest areas now, so those of you that think it's good, think again, once they get us conditioned to pay for parking and there is no parking anywhere else they'll bump that price right up.toostroked Thanks this. -
I like Wilco Hess. I often park at the one at exit 77 on 81 in Pennsylvania. My father in law and I grabbed spots at the one in Toms Brook after we both unloaded at the Home Depot DC in Winchester. The Loves was packed full by 7 but the wilco hess had plenty of spots.

Where did you here that MO wants to charge for rest areas? The local coffee counter . Please post a link this rumor .
