Alcoa makes aluminum. Everyone knows that tin works much better than aluminum... hey... wait a minute... it's another conspiracy to get us to wear aluminum instead of tin. I see where this is going.
-
But yet they have no interest in profit. Not.

PRECISELY THE POINT. Thank You. Look at how much a T/A or Pilot charges for ramen noodles and ask yourself if you are a "valued" customer or a "captured" customer.

No different than any other GAS station in this country. Whether it is for cars or trucks or both that is the nature of the business.

I went past the eastbound I-78 scale (barn) in western NJ two weeks ago. It was late at night and they were closed as usual but low and behold there was a T/A right after the scale.
Coincidence? I doubt it. The NJDOT shuts down their port and forbids by law anyone to enter when it's closed and the T/A is literally the next exit after the scales where drivers are forced to park on the shoulder.
I think it's obvious what they're doing,.. so I'll state it as a warning to newer drivers who think they can run outlaw because they have paper logs. Well, you cannot, we are tagged electronically, firstly the engine computer which tells anyone who downloads it when we started the truck, when we shifted, and when we braked, etc.. and then there is the cell phone, another tattle tale, besides anything else that is electronic.
Be careful out there and if anything do not patronize any T/A if you can. The corporate CEO's are working with the national bar and the DOT to entrap us, waiting for that fatal accident so they can litigate you into poverty, or just throw you in the monkey cage for fifteen and enlarge the prison system with taxpayers dough.
On a side note:If you're in NJ and are down to ten minutes and see that scale, just go in and shut down and ask them where are you supposed to park.
Carriers pay a lot of road taxes, and every state owes us free parking. And remember no-one, and I mean no-one (including DOT officers) and the President himself cannot eat or wipe his bottom with-out a trucker bringing it to the store. Think about it, get bold, and speak out!Last edited: Nov 26, 2013
Clintonstain Thanks this. -
Because they wouldn't want the worst among us to litter their scale with urine bottles and other trash, it has nothing to do with a conspiracy like you would like to think.truckon Thanks this.

All they have to do is either install cameras which I believe NJ has or let the state hire a patrolman. For the amount of taxes we pay the expenses should not even show.

Too much bs here to get into on phone--but as for the scale on 78--it was designed too allow pkg--it is closed at night due to a state court order--stemming from a longstanding argument between residents in the area and zoning board also 2 long to go into
As for the T/A--it is a converted Orange Ball that dates back WAY before I78 when that little 2lane out front was the Original US 22---&'was a fair piece out in the boonies--
So sorry if that example just doesn't hold water -
The problem is not just the HOS a big roll is played by the elogs. I use a log book and never have a problem finding some place to park. If I have to go over 20 30 minutes to do it so be it but I will find a safe place.
