I agree, some are springing up new truck stops. I know some new loves have popped up in FL.
I myself know some places like the flying J in Tulsa, OK are full almost every week day no matter what time if day you go there.
I do agree though, there needs to be improvements on parking, Id rather them increase parking instead of building new showers with audio inputs in them and other stuff that really isnt needed.
What's up with T/A and their "Parking Reservations" ?!?!?

I'm surprised that love's has no stop in Tulsa.

You cannot use your points to pay for parking. I tried somewhere and they said it's not allowed.

Game, set, match....
Great post.....Joetro, skootertrashr6 and Scott101 Thank this. -
I would contact corporate and ask them why. If you can redeem a 15000 points to buy a Cobra 29LTD classic radio, you surely should be able to redeem a 1000+ points for a parking spot. That seems rather peculiar.DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

I agree! I had 20,000 points and they wouldn't let me redeem them over the phone. You'd have to go to the truck stop, print out a redeem ticket, then pay for it

The Petro/TA cards are set up to print a cash value voucher and can't be used any other way, and they are the only ones I have found so far that do this.

It's like when you buy a TV and send in a rebate form to get $40 back, only here you send in sixty forms and instead of waiting two months to get your "discount" you wait a year.

When I know about where I'll need to be stopping, I'll look for TAs or Petros in the area as soon as possible. If I know that they're normally busy locations and / or short on parking, then I'll call ahead and reserve a space so that I don't have the hassle of trying to back into a sub-optimal spot while I'm tired - or run the risk of not finding a spot. Sometimes I'll just drive to the location and scope it out. If there are no 'free' spaces, then I'll pay for a reserved spot. It's amazing how many drivers will think nothing of dropping $20-$30 on pizza, hot dogs, coffee, smokes and sodas in the c-store, but will make it inconvenient for everyone by parking at the ends of rows or along the entrance / exit lanes to avoid dropping $12 for a parking space.skootertrashr6, DrtyDiesel, Raiderfanatic and 1 other person Thank this.

If you're forced dispatched, and have a two loads on you (the second which determines when you can stop) then, believe me, it matters.
Enough with the "blaming the rest of us" nonsense. I'm not blaming anyone - for anything. I'm saying that reserving 40% of your lot for paid parking, while legal, is shady as hell and it will eventually cause a driver or the motoring public to get hurt. But hey, there's $11 to be made, gotta have your priorities...
