All drivers wear ball caps and have big feet too?
Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
I wear a ball cap and have fairly large feet....
2 out of 3 ain't bad. -
If has a fifth wheel I have driven it. I love all trucks myself. For fleet use I go with Freighliner. The older ones. Them things the truck maunfactures make don't look like a truck to me. I know it's all about fuel milage. For comfort and nice stuff KW is my choice. I picked up a new Volvo in Windy and was bringing it back to Omaha. 100 miles out the dash fell out. It was night when I left. The power steering started leaking, and the a/c quit. Got to Omaha and dollied down. Went to dump the bags that didn't happen either. I would not have one if they were three for a buck.

I haven't been around to long but in my time I've driven a 379, 386 and 387 pete, a T2000 and my current Columbia. IMO for ease of repair and driver room I prefer the Columbia.

I drive a Freightliner FLD-120 with a Detroit 60..... I might be getting a Coronado with the DD15.....
I don't mind them they work and I get paid... I have't had the honour of driving a PETE or KW (we have these but they are the roll-off trucks. in which case it wouldn't be an honor lol).. I have only driven International, Ford, Freightliner, Volvo, GMC....
I don't care what I drive to be honest as long as I get paid my hourly rate and get home every night I could care less... They are go round and round and they would all do the same-thing for me in the end.. Get the job done and get paid...
Freightliner is a cheaper truck that is good for mass fleet sales.... You get them cheap and then when your done with them you sell them cheap.... I also heard that someone in your "fleet" department has a daughter working at Freightliner and gets the commission lol... Drivers don't see the free stuff like the hats, freightliner floor mats etc... All this stuff someone goes missing between the dealer to the fleet yards haha.. As long as they get cutbacks we will always drive freightliner..... Honestly I think with the economy companies are looking for cheaper trucks that will last a decent time frame and not cost an arm and leg to fixed.. As stated before it's easier to get a Frieghtshaker fixed in a timely matter then say a Pete.
Now don't get me wrong.. I'd love to be driving a nice day-cab Pete but in the end what is boils down to as a company driver.. I get paid to drive what they give me ... I don't get paid more or less if I am driving a Pete or Freightliner...johnday Thanks this. -

My head is completely shaved....I wear the ###### thing just to keep from gettin' sunburned! -
I wear them when Im outside loading or unloading to prevent getting sunburn on my face, but remove it soon as im in the truck. No offense to anyone with lack of hair, but Im truely PROUD of my full set of hair. I comb it all day long, along with my facial hair. Been told I get carried away but I have a habit of being well groomed all day.
