What's with Ohio cops hamming the hell out of truckers?

They gave me a bogus ticket and I never forgot about it.I hate Ohio hate the cops and always will.

Like all truck drivers are fine, upstanding members of their community. Every group has a few bad apples but the entire group should not be rejected out of hand.

 

I run Ohio all the time and yes the DOT cops are working hard lately....I got pulled for 65 in a 60....done a level III on me and a warning for reckless driving! Really? for 5 over? Ohio can suck it!

 

Virginia was just as bad.

 

What? You don't believe those ffe trucks could run wide open? Next youre gonna tell me they couldn't do 130 mph across the cross Bronx expressway. Or that vermont doesn't have a 3 mile long 27% grade.

 

I used to run out there all the time, along 10, late 80's early 90's... River Bear was one of the CHP that would talk with us on the radio, he asked me a few times about the speed limit. Never met the man, but he was always cool with me.

 

I was reading a couple days ago that Ohio is supposed to be lowering the speed limit back down to 65. They are claiming the amount of accidents has gone up 30% or thereabouts since the speed limit was raised 5mph. I'll try and link the news article later today.

 

Really? Revenue must be down. I see fewer accidents in Ohio since they have raised the speed limit. The Turnpike and I-75 used to be horrendous with the split speed limit. Saw more than a few fatalities out there.
