At Maverick terminal in Madison,IL. Deliver shingles to Edwardsville,IL Mon morn.

 

Finally to the house sat 09:30. Had a near perfect week going. Left out of the house on Monday and everything clicked like clock work. Even loaded at the Fort without a hitch.
Then comes Friday delivering in Detroit. I get to consignee the night before and put in my empty at 06:30 central. Sit for two hours and then get a load out of USS Great Lakes, perfect. This will get me to the house Friday afternoon with 2900 miles.
Then the wheels started coming off the wagon. I get a call from my FM and she tells me I need to swap loads with a driver in Butler . After loading at USS I call the other driver as I'm only 2.5 hours from Butler. He tells me he is still loaded with lumber and its his first week solo. Great, long story short, I wait on him at Butler. Help him load, secure and tarp so he can make it home. Of course I run out of hours and have to spend the night at a rest stop.
Becoming underwhelmed with the new FM to say it kindly.

 

It just so happens my phone is always dead when I'm under a go home load.

Oh yeah? I repowered a load Thursday in NLR to get a driver home. Got hung out this weekend. Haha

 

Just got empty (ON SUNDAY NIGHT HAHA!!!!) at Nextech in Pittsburgh/Turtle Creek, PA. Gonna start the week off EMPTY and with 504 miles! WOOHOO!! (That is awesome for a PLD guy BTW)

 

Got to meet Sewerman and Slim this weekend at Madison. We went to Ponderosa for lunch Sunday. Learned a lot from them, as both are very experienced drivers.

 

Back at the truck. Only 9 degrees this morning. Truck was a little slow to crank over.

Headed for Schofield, WI.

 

Marietta, GA. Empty 4 1/2 hrs. And counting.

 

I havent seen slim in awhile. Last i saw him he was runnin the shuttle in nlr on injured reserve lol.
