The only reason I wouldn't hp you with Shiite is you didn't ask. Yes before you are released to eval out, you're expected to be able to run the truck. But if for some reason, when you were driving at speed towards obviously stopping/swerving traffic for the deer running across the roD, your cranial anal insertion isn't going to get me killed or you either for that matter. Lol. But based on a true event 2 students ago.

If you draw the short-straw, don't worry, I'll ask. Learned to drive truck on a bulk tank, hauled swinging beef to both coasts out of Omaha and ran a short stint as a bull-hauler, (and cows, and hogs, and goats.) so I'm used to nervous freight with a mind of its own that doesn't take too kindly to fast moves in any direction. (It also afforded the opportunity shovel s*!t and get pissed on, but that's another story.)

The driving part of the Maverick Way should be easy enough is pick up, it's learning the tricks of the trade in loading/securement/tarping that will probably be the bigger challenge for this skateboard rookie. There is however an upside to the short-straw; imagine the (new) stories you'll be able to tell.

    PS,
Is it true that skateboarding is like pulling doubles in that you don't really have to worry about backing up?

    Just messin' with ya. ;-)

Yes that's true. Our trucks don't even have a reverse gear in them. Don't ever pull into a place where you may need to get towed out, Maverick will not be happy about that.

Yeah, the lack of a reverse gear is a real pain in the ### for TCD, with those docks and all... ;)

Without reverse, you don't have to worry about peeling off your (open) doors doing a tight blind backing maneuver. Besides, I though Maverick was all auto; what gears are you talking about? ;-)

By "all auto", we really mean that the trucks drive themselves, and Maverick hires us to simply sit in the seat and appear to be driving so that the DOT doesn't catch on. So when my truck does something stupid like cut you off, keep in mind that it's the computer, not me.

    ;)
