With an inopative truck and labor rates north of $100/hr you'd think that you could expect an update after 4hrs or at the end of the business day. Nope. The prevailing attitude is it's an electrical issue and we're stuck trying to figure it out. We contacted Freightliner, and are waiting for them to get back to us. Sorry about your luck.

AHH! Sorry I missed ya Projump. Would've liked to met you too Man. I got the truck back from the shop a few hours after my last post and went straight to bed. I rolled outta there at 11pm last night bound for Pittsburgh on the overnight shift. That sucks that I did not see your post in time and did not know that you were there. Maybe next time.

And, tonight I find myself at the Go Mart T/S at #186 off I-70 about 20 minutes East of Zanesville, OH. I have no idea what the town is called and don't really give a sheet.

 

For those who have never picked up a preloaded trailer from independence tube in Marseilles, il with the other 1/2 of the load at their Chicago office here's what's in store for ya....

Check in at Marseilles. They tell you what dock your trailer is in. Find the dock, drop your mt. Pull the preload out of the dock. Drop it. Hook onto your mt and back it into the dock your preload was in. Drop it. Hook onto your preload. Secure and tarp it. Drive to Chicago. Untarp, unsecure, load retarp, resecure...whew!!! Sitting in Chattanooga. Deliveries here at siskin steel and supply are midnight to 0600. Yuck!

 

That sure sounds like a lot of extra work. I'm still in the motel here in Bryan, Tx. parts for my truck should be here in the morning and i should be on the road in the afternoon. now for the fun part instead of towing me north into Dallas they towed me an hour south putting me 680 miles away from home. I will be running flat out straight up I-35 empty so it will be close but i think im going to be shut down real close to home. i might get in a fight with my qualcom.

 

Salem, AR with a busted 14hr clock heading to Union City, TN. Reload in Covington, TN heading to the house en route to a Monday AM Columbus, OH delivery.
