I have a Volvo 780, 2013 have almost 300k on it no engine problems at all, pulls great, smooth and Ishift is great. One cold antifreeze leak solved at the dealer long ago, one reoccurring traction control light they keep trying to solve. It is out of warranty but they still won't give up and guarantee me they will fix it. Unlike Freightliner and the Crapcadia I had previously, that had way too many problems, before warranty was up they were telling me I had to "live with it". I will NEVER recommend anyone buy a Freightliner.

Nothing on the new ones. Lots of problems on the old ones, and very thirsty for fuel.

Sorry, I see you mentioned the ishift in your first reply. I'm really thinking about one. It's nice to here some good during this day and age of new engines. Speed and comfort is what I'm looking at not speed to old for that crap. I'm a 65/68 guy for the most part. I get the job done.

It's quiet and smooth for sure. I am an old hood guy but the interior, ride, fuel mileage make a difference. After a 13 hr day behind the wheel you can get out feeling great.

From what i have read, in 2012 the manufacturers finally got a lot of the bugs worked out. They arent perfect, no engine is, but they all seen to be smooth now.

    Elroythekid Thanks this.
