If I remember right I will be starting at 26 CPM... with a 3 CPM raise in three months. Kind of low, but I only need to get over the road for a year or so...
-
I started at 28 back in '06
-
I started at 24.5 cpm 15 years ago trucking has come a long way huh?
-
18 cpm in 1990. Best I ever got was 24 cpm in 1994.
1994, When I was dispatching hopper bottoms, it was about 98 cpm avg to the truck, loaded/deadhead. -
Started at .23/mile in 1995. Been quite a bit of inflation since then, but trucker wages have stayed roughly flat.
-
Not just trucker wages,,,,
I think it worked out to .17 cents a mile? But that was after taxes, per diems, and a few other things I can't remember.
They advertised .26 though, but I never saw it. -
Oh and it doesn't matter what the cpm is if you're sitting 3 days a week.
So consider that when an offer comes up for BIG MONEY! -
you may be sitting for three days...
But now...
You got the internet..... -
