What's your starting CPM when just starting out?

    I started at 28cpm loaded and 14cpm empty in 2010. Moved up to 32cpm loaded/empty in a year, and have been getting a 1cpm raise every 10 months, which is now their policy.

    Werner only pays low if you drag your heels, fight with your dispatcher, and never meet appointment times. As low as it is, they've gotten me some 4000 mile weeks, which is more than most BFI drivers can honestly say. However, until I showed the company I was serious, I had a lot of weeks sitting 1-3 days.

    .25 cpm to start, PNW. rates are always low out here.. from what I've seen. after a year, .32 cpm.

    But that was a looong time ago. It ain't kept up with inflation. That's for sure

    I'm willing to put in the work and do my job to the fullest. There is a lot of money to be made, you just have to show that you want it.

    The kind that's pays the same as my 2200 miles a week.

    Although I can't fault the man for wanting too make money. As long as the economy remains screwed. New drivers will continue to take it in the shorts. And the old drivers pay will remain at 2000 levels.

    CDL, HOS, CSA .... All foretold of higher pay. And it's still a lie today.

    I started out hauling glass for 28 cents per mile (never mind the date)...these days I'm at 47 cents per mile for non-OD loads and empty miles...and 57 cents per mile for OD loads (by far, most of my loads are OD)

    I've been lucky though I believe...to have been in the right place at the right time to receive those pay raises. All of these trucking companies have a lot of BS rules to put up with...the rules are there no matter where you go...so I went to the one that paid the most.

    That said...NONE OF THEM pay us enough.

    You can't do it every week, but it can still be done with elogs and a 65mph governor if you know when and where to log a break and keep the left door shut.

    The junk mail HAD to be moved, and often. Its too bad that werner lost most of that account because most drivers couldn't put in the miles needed. I got a 2cpm raise when I went to my next account, so it made dropping back to 2500 miles a week a little less insufferable.

    In 1993 I started at 18.5cpm. Just started a new company recently that starts at .41cpm. I don't think that even covers inflation from then till now. And for where I live, .41 is pretty good.
