Aluminum wheels and steel hubs will cause corrosion and rust build up that doesn't get cleaned off when guys put wheels on. I bet you have some rust or scale build up on the hub in that area. When you bolt the wheel on it isn't sitting flush against the hub. Pull off the wheel and make sure the mating surfaces are nice and clean. Those nylon wheel insulators between the wheel and hub that slide over the wheel studs work really well to separate the aluminum and steel surfaces. (Dis-similar metals will cause corrosion). When the wheel is off and hub face is clean make sure it isn't bent or has a bulge in it that may be bending and stressing the wheel. Lastly, do not use a 1" impact gun to install wheel nuts. Normal wheel nut torque is 450-500 foot pounds. Most 1" guns will tighten that nut to well over 800 foot pounds. If the wheels are torqued properly, when using a torque wrench, the nuts should turn until they reach the torque setting. If you simply put a torque wrench on the nuts, then don't move and the torque wrench "clicks", they are too tight.

Have you got a picture of the rim that broke? Are you and your buddy doing any loads that are alike (perhaps an area that you both may have got this damage from)? Perhaps a weight scale?
Have you installed new shocks lately? -
Hello Earthmover:
I see guys come to a complete stop, then crank on the steering wheel till wheel hits steering stop. IMO, this must put huge stress on the front end parts when truck isnt moving?
How much weight on front axle when truck is loaded?
I have no idea what is breaking your wheels, just babbling... -
http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l548/bigmike540/2013-01-31_07-02-05_32.jpg this is a pic of the wheel ..as you can see its a hair line crack.. the 2 black spots are where the crack ends...that's the same way my last wheel did and the same way my buddies wheel did....I just replace all 6 shocks last year front and back.. the truck has this crazy bounce that I need to find but I don't think the wheel crack is from that..getting tired of buying wheels ......could king pins make the truck bounce up and down like a ball??????? I keep the truck greased every 2 weeks from top to bottom, now this is a dump truck and take a lot of beating off road,in sand, mud and what ever else...but the bounce has to go .. it does it while on the pedal and off ....

Not sure but i bought a set of them same toyo steer tires for my truck a few yrs ago and bout shook the hood off my truck !!!! Im sure them are out of round a trouble that goes with super singles i have had lots bounce like a sob!!! I know them tires are very expensive try to stick with a better brand had good luck with bfgoodrich, continantal and hancook could be the reason for wheel breakage !??

not the tire I have had other tires on here last year and same thing... I thought it was the tires but changed and the same thing....I think I am going to go down on tire size this year, tired of paying out the buuuuuuut for a tire that does the same thing a small tire do... I have a buddy that went from a 425 to a 11/22.5 and said best thing he ever did.. 1200.00 for a set to 600.00 a set
I still need to find the bounce....going to put the truck in the shop and see if they can find something I am tired of the bounce and the wheels...its just crazy 1200.00 for tires and 400.00 for wheels

The bounce can still be tires or rims, doesn't matter that they where replaced. If the rim doesn't sit centered on the hub it will spin out of round and cause a bounce. Steer tires will always cause a shimmy in the steering wheel. Drive tires cause a bounce or shake that shakes the whole truck. Best way to find out is the jack up both drive axles and put them on jack stands and run the truck and watch the tires. If they are out of round you will see them going up and down as they spin.

How are the wheel bearings or king pins? What for rear suspension do you have ? Does it have oil bath front hubs, front drums ever been replaced ? If that thing bouncing that bad i would think you would have needed front springs by now! How bout drive line u have a bent or twisted drive shaft ? Could be anywhere just a few things to check.

looks to me like the outer edge of the wheel was curbed ....also hammer marks there
