Hey guys to the north. Ive searched but have found yet info on wheelbase limits in BC. I know 244" is the limit without permits but looking for info on the limits with over lenght permits. I run to BC a few times a month with my current company but buying my own truck and with my weight requirements in the states Im looking at longer then 244" so I can have a bigger then 36" bunk on the truck. I run mostly 3 and 4 axle tankers. Thanks for any info guys.

Best bet is to just phone the scale at nordel. My buddy pulls a tanker with a 256" wheelbase up here

    Yeah call Kamloops or Golden..
whenever I had a question I'd call Nordel, Laidlaw, Hunter creek and usually get different answers from all of them.. Kamloops and Golden always knew their stuff

One girl from Nordel tried to give me a violation because my air horn wasn't working, but my steering wheel electrical one did which is actually the only one you need, then when testing my tractor protection valve she removed the emergency line instead of the service and asked why I had an air leak? Then she was looking at my gauges when checking for a low air warning by 60 pounds and she's like "why doesn't that gauge work? It was the brake application gauge heh

    lol

Glad I'm not the only one who has had situations like that.

Was heading west out of Thompson MB, full speed ahead to flin Flon and I had to have been 80-90km out of Thompson and all of a sudden I see lights. Huh!! I pull over and out comes this cute young brunette and she asks for my paper work and blah blah. Gave it all to her and she looked it over and said ok you're good. "I'm good?" I asked. She said yea, carry on. I said what the hell, where's my inspection paper saying I passed. She said oh, I just started and I don't know how to do those. Ya ya big ten four, I won't mark this 15 minutes in my log book then. Buhhh bye

Yes. Any tractor WB under 244" is fine.
